Cybersecurity and Data Analytics Fluency Credentials for Community Colleges

Main Street Assembly partnered with a leading non-profit and technology corporation to co-build and pilot two new credentials in cybersecurity and data analytics with multiple community colleges throughout the United States. The build effort included leading focus groups, disseminating surveys, and holding interviews with employers and SMEs to obtain feedback around key curriculum architecture, and content components to ensure the credentials were relevant and in demand. Other work included building out a comprehensive strategy to connect learners to job opportunities, as well as other career and academic pathways. Key documents, i.e. Skill Maps and Competency Guides, were developed to facilitate conversations and build credibility amongst both the academic and workforce stakeholders. The credentials offer businesses a viable way to upskill their workforce with critical cybersecurity and data analytics competencies and remain competitive in the market.
